MIT 401k Plan PSDS Scan 12/31/2008
The MIT scan posted in December 2008 was rescanned with 12/31/2008 data because of the huge changes in that quarter. As you can see the scan is bipolar with the Balanced portfolio and the maximum Sharpe ratio portfolio far apart in the 3D image. Both have most of the money in FDIVX with the Max SR portfolio having 81.7% invested in that one fund. The Balanced portfolio has 61.1% in FDIVX. To use a medical metaphore the market was having a nervous breakdown and the scan image shows a snapshot of the event.
