This marks the 32nd year of my 401k to IRA portfolio covering twenty-five working years and seven retirement years. The portfolio of course has changed over the years with the market and with my investment goals. The early years came during a long bull market but the last ten years have been more challenging as the chart shows. I wanted to share this with visitors and hope it helps others set expectations during the transition from 401k to IRA when retireing. To quote Ben Graham one more time " In the end, how your investments behave is much less important than how you behave."
